The village and fishing harbour of Polperro near Looe really is a gem. Polperro is quite simply, one of the most charming villages in Cornwall, from the traditional fisherman's cottages to the stunning harbour, Lined throughout the winding streets are plenty of pubs and restaurants offering the finest local seafood, fresh out of the sea! Spending an afternoon wandering around Polperro is my idea of a great day out, watching the friendly locals go in and out the harbour in their fishing boats, gives you sense that time has stood still here, and this fantastic traditional village wouldn't have been dissimilar many years ago.

Exploring around Polperro is great, the South of Cornwall is famous for its beautiful countryside and coast, so it's definitely worth the time to have a good look around! Take a short drive along the coast and you'll find yourself in Looe, a coastal town and fishing port. For a small town is certainly manages to fit a lot in with independent restaurants, cafes and shops lining the winding streets. Finding something to do around Polperro will never be a concern from walking to coasteering, horse rides to kayaking, finding something that will entertain the family will be a breeze!
