Verbena is a wonderful Grade 2 Listed 3 storey semi-detached characterful cottage in the historic conservation area of West Looe on the level just off the harbour and tucked away nicely behind the fire station, close to the oldest pub in Looe - The Jolly Sailor and a couple of useful convenience stores. This lovingly restored cottage dates back to the 1800's and is believed to have originally been used as a sail loft. The cottage has undergone full renovation (June 2012). This refurbishment has had much thought and careful consideration by the owners to provide a contemporary and modern environment, yet capturing and enhancing much charm, including many exposed oak beams, fireplaces and thick lime washed walls so that the true historical beauty of this cottage is not lost with modern day trends. The accommodation is laid out by way of couple of steps up to the front door opening into the spacious living area: boasting fabulous modern kitchen (washer/drier housed under the stairs) and breakfast bar area with a small separate dining area just off within the open plan lounge. The lounge boasts fabulous leather sofas, large flat screen, all in one media unit. 2nd floor: Family bathroom (newly fitted June 2012) including bath with mixer shower, wash hand basin and w.c. Also on this floor beautiful kingsize bedroom with glimpses of the harbour and East Looe. 3rd floor 2 x twin bedrooms 1 of which has glimpses of the harbour. You can load/unload very close to the property. Pre-paid parking permit allocated for 1 large car in a car park about 5 mins walk from the cottage.
Lounge / Kitchen / Diner: TV, media unit with iPod docking station, DVD player, CD, radio, electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, breakfast bar, (washer/dryer under stairs).
Bedroom 1: Kingsize bed (5'), wardrobe, chest of drawers.
Bathroom: Bath (thermostatic shower over), basin, w.c.
Bedroom 2: Twin beds (3'), wardrobe, TV.
Bedroom 3: Twin beds (3'), chest of drawers.
GARDEN AND PARKING: Pre-paid parking space allocated to the cottage 5 minutes' walk away. No outdoor space.
Changeover Day: Saturday - arrival 3:00pm - departure 10:00am.
Power and Heat: Gas & electricity included in rent; gas fired c.h. throughout
Bedding and Linen: Bed linen & towels provided (please bring your own beach towels)
Baby Equipment: Not provided.
Shop: 0.1 ml Pub: 0.1 ml
NOTES: No smoking, no pets. WiFi provided. Mobile reception varies. Please note that Verbena has some low ceilings and beams throughout the cottage please bear this in mind for taller guests!

Very well equipped kitchen, clean and has comfy beds and a good water pressure for the shower. Next door to the best pub in Looe and the local Londis shop had everything for the enthusiastic chef.Mrs S Scruton - 17th September 2016
