The South East Cornish coastline is one of Britain's finest stretches, and if you are thinking of booking a holiday cottage by the coast, then this part of the country should be your number one choice!
The coastline here has everything you could dream of, sun, sea, sand, shops, and serenity. Our two biggest coastal locations for holiday cottages are Looe and Polperro. Looe is the larger of the two and was given a silver award for Best UK Coastal Resort at the British Travel Awards 2013. Polperro is just five miles south of Looe and is an idyllic fishing village which bathes in its maritime climate.
Why choose a coastal cottage?
Choosing a cottage by the coast or beach can add a different flavour to your holiday. Imagine not having to trawl around for that expensive car parking spot down by the seafront, or sit in traffic on the single track road down towards the beach. You can open to the curtains in the morning, smell the fresh sea air, and relax. After all, we all want to feel refreshed and relaxed after a break away. And the great thing about our coastal cottages is that should you choose to head inland for the day, it won't take you long in the car before entering the rolling Cornish countryside and Bodmin Moor.
What is close by?
Naturally with all coastal cottages, the sea and the sand are the two star attractions. In South-East Cornwall you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to selecting a beach. A couple of office favourites are Looe Beach and Talland Bay. This part of the British Isles can also offer superb cliff walks along the South West Coast Path, which snakes and winds its way throughout the South West.
A little further along the coastline from where the majority of our properties are located you will be able to visit the Eden Project. This star attraction is just outside St Austell and is arguably one of the biggest visitor attractions in the UK.
