Thanckes House is a modern house in a spectacular location, overlooking the sea at Portwrinkle. The magnificent sea views, its own indoor heated swimming pool and easy access to the golf course and the beach make this a first choice for an extended family or large party of friends. Built to take full advantage of its unique location, most of the rooms have panoramic sea views and some have either a balcony or patio doors opening onto the extensive paved patio. Thanckes House boasts 5 double bedroom (3 en-suite), kitchen/diner, lounge, hallway, utility room, sun lounge, 2 toilets, shower/bathrooms, indoor heated swimming pool with jacuzzi, terrace with bar-be-cue, carport and private access to a nearby hotel. Access to the property is via a very steep drive, therefore in my opinion, unsuitable for people with mobility restrictions. Sleeps 10. FRIDAY TO FRIDAY CHANGEOVER.

Property Type House
Location Should you tire of this idyllic haven, a short stroll will take you down to the beach. This sheltered sandy cove is perfect for sandcastle builders and beach cricket and, at low tide, there are excellent rock pools in which children of all ages can fish for crabs and other marine life. For more ambitious walkers, the South Cornish Coast path passes Portwrinkle on its way West to Looe and East to Cremyll from where you can take a ferry to the city of Plymouth for your shopping needs. By car, the city is about 6 miles away via the Torpoint Ferry, 20 mins drive from the fishing town of Looe and 25 mins drive from the fishing village of Polperro.
Nearest Pub/Restaurant The Finnygook Inn a 5-10 minute walk away. The Whitsand Bay Hotel on the doorstep with special rates for golf and leisure facilities for any guests staying at Thanckes House.

Three of the other rooms give you the choice of having twin beds or, by zipping them together, two king size beds and en emperor size (6 foot) bed. Please state your choice when booking
