A FANTASTIC GRADE 2 LISTED COTTAGE IN CORNWALL CONVENIENTLY CLOSE TO MILES OF COASTLINE WITH PRETTY GARDENS, PARKING SKY AND WI-FI.
This mid terraced spacious 1800s grade 2 listed cottage in Cornwall. Kernow is truly unique in that although much recent refurbishment and renovation has taken place, there has been much thought for our guests' comfort and pleasure, throughout the entire cottage. Each room is spacious and the general feel can only be described as stylishly elegant and pleasing to the eye - with its nooks and crannies filled with character and charm, enhanced by high quality, tasteful furnishings, really showing off this cornish gem for what it really is. The cottage boasts spacious lay out by way of downstairs: large L shaped kitchen/diner, lovely separate lounge, from the kitchen stable door leads to a beautiful and enclosed rear garden with decking area to the rear. From the dining room, stairs lead up to the spacious upstairs where you will find 2 small landing areas, one leading off to a large family bedroom with a double and single bed within, and a 2nd double bedroom, from the next landing, separated by a door, leads to a family bathroom and single bedroom overlooking the garden. Road front parking for 1 car outside of the property. SLEEPS 6. SATURDAY TO SATURDAY CHANGEOVER APPLIES.

| Location | Although Kernow is fronting a main road just about 5 miles (10 mins drive) from the bustling fishing town of Looe, the cottage itself remains very quiet to any noise and in my opinion forms a perfect haven for any family wishing to take advantage of a wonderful family sized home, less than a 1 minute walk from a well renowned local pub offering good value meals and fine ales, with the added bonus of having miles of coastline on your doorstep - literally in both directions from the cottage. A nature reserve leads you into the neighbouring Seaton where you will find a long beach, brilliant beach side cafe, pub and family play park for the children. Next door to Seaton, you will find another beautiful beach called Downderry, along from this: Portwrinkle, Whitsand Bay, in fact I could go on for miles name dropping more fabulous coastal bays and coves, not to mention pretty Kingsand and Cawsand!! In the other direction, this will take you to Looe with a small cove called Millendreath along the way. Looe itself has a busy working fishing harbour and long sandy beach on the east side and wonderful Hannafore on the west side for the keen rock poolers. Looe offers the main amenities for food shopping, whilst local provisions can be found in Downderry a 3/4 min drive from the cottage .For the avid walkers, Hessenford offers a chance to set a different walking route each day, and if you prefer driving to places of interest, you will find the city of Plymouth 30 mins drive, city of Truro 1 hour 15 mins drive, Bodmin Moors a 25 mins drive, Eden Project 45 mins drive. The north coast is about an hours drive away, again with much coastline and stunning scenery to see. 15 mins drive to the market town of Liskeard where you will find a Morrisons store and 25 mins drive from the city of Plymouth. |
| Nearest Pub/Restaurant | The Copley Arms - a well acclaimed local pub offering good food and hospitality to families. This pub is less than a minute walk from the cottage. A 5 minute drive will see you at Seaton, where you will find the Smugglers Pub offering good food and ale. Downderry is a 2 minute drive from Seaton with The Blue Plate Restaurant with a very good local reputation for its high quality cuisine and The Inn On The Shore, another fantastic pub and restaurant. A further 4 min drive will see you at the Finnygook Inn in Crafthole, another pub renowned for its food and fine ales. 15 mins drive to Looe where there are far too many pubs and restaurants to mention! |
