Where is Looe?
Looe is a very attractive village in South East Cornwall. This means it is very quick to reach from Devon. Looe is not that far West of Plymouth, one of the main cities in the southwest of England.
To the north of Looe is Liskeard, on the main A38 which is one of the key roads through Cornwall. Heading west from Liskeards along the A390 you pass through the village of Lostwithel before reaching St Austell. From here you can head east in the direction of Looe and you reach Fowey, but progress further east by car is stopped by the Fowey estuary. These deep and wide river estuaries are a feature of south east Cornwall. You can take a small Ferry - the Bodinnick-Fowey Ferry and then drive on the narrow Cornish roads back to Looe.
Looe is situated at the end of another deep river channel. To the south and west of Looe is fantastic scenary with the south west coast path enabling you to walk to Talland Bay and Polperro.
