Things to do in Cornwall near to Looe

There are lots of attractions within an easy drive from Looe. These include:

  • 1. The Eden Project. This has become world famous as an experimental and co friendly system of domes which contain superb plant collections. A great day out for all the family and good in all weather.
  • 2. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are another award winning garden. These gardens are considered to be one of the largest garden restoration projects in Europe. This is a fascinating visit as you discover gardens which were list and hidden for over 70 years.
  • 3. The brewery centre at St Austell offers an interesting visit.
  • 4. At Austell also has working 18th century port you can walk around. This is where lots of famous films have been made.
  • 5. Animal lovers will enjoy the monkey sanctuary at Looe. Here you can meet a colony of Amazanian Woolley Monkeys. There are other animals to view and a bat cave and conservation garden. Play areas for both monkeys and children.
  • 6. More animals are at Tamar Valley donkey park. Donkeys and other tame animals can be seen - great for children.
  • 7. Land of Legend and Model Village is Polperro's famous model village which is a favourite local attraction
