The Lost Gardens of Heligan
The Lost Gardens of Heligan are popular botanical gardens based in Mevagissey, near St. Austell – less than an hour’s drive from Looe and Polperro. Parking is available.
The gardens have a wide range of flowers such as colossal rhododendrons and camellias. There are also lakes, a sub-tropical area known as “The Jungle”, vegetable gardens, sculptures and an Italian garden.
The Lost Gardens of Heligan are open year-round, except Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, from 10am until 5/6pm. Under-5s can enter free and entry for children costs £5 per child. Adult tickets cost £8.50 and family and senior citizen tickets are also available.
The Lost Gardens of Heligan are a perfect day out if you’re staying in Looe or Polperro. For holiday cottages in Polperro and Looe, go to the Looe & and Polperro Holidays website.
